For many years, Overlook Hospital has been actively engaged in the fight against cancer, and today our hospital is one of New Jersey’s leading providers of superior cancer care. We are a proud Partner of The Cancer Institute of New Jersey.  In addition, Atlantic Health is the primary academic and clinical affiliate in New Jersey of Mount Sinai School of Medicine and The Mount Sinai Hospital. Our services are accredited by the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Radiology, and The Joint Commission.

We were the first cancer center in the state to offer:

• Stereotactic radiosurgery program to treat brain and extracranial tumors
• Mammotome system for obtaining breast tissue using a minimally invasive procedure
• Combination PET/CT (positron emission tomography) scanner that provides valuable information on cancerous tumors

Overlook was also the first medical center north of Baltimore to offer CyberKnife technology—the only radiosurgery system in the world incorporating robotics and image-guidance for the precise and accurate treatment of tumors throughout the body.
